About our reader
NANO Prop keeps a dated record of how prop firms change their published terms, so traders are not surprised by a rule that moved. To do that accurately we read a small number of firms’ own help-centre pages on a schedule. This page explains exactly what that reader does.
Identifying it
It sends this User-Agent, and nothing else:
NanoPropFirmWatch/1.0 (+https://nanoprop.info/bot; accuracy monitoring of published terms)
What it does
- Fetches robots.txt on every run and obeys it as if it were binding. If we cannot read your robots.txt, we do not fetch you at all.
- Waits at least 2 seconds between requests to the same host — twice the delay Intercom publishes.
- Reads at most 45 requests to one host per day, counted in our database before each request rather than tracked in memory, and bounded again by a wall clock on every run. In practice that is less traffic than one person browsing your help centre once.
- Stores the article text so we can tell what changed, and strips author names before storing anything — we keep no record of which of your staff wrote or edited an article.
- Never logs in, never touches an authenticated page, never submits a form, and never places a trade.
- Never trains a model on what it reads.
What it will not do
If your site refuses our reader — a 403, a challenge page, or a rule in robots.txt — we treat that as a closed door and leave it closed. We do not change our user-agent, drive a browser, or use proxies to get around it. Where a firm’s terms ask automated readers to stay off, we respect that and follow changes through the public Internet Archive instead.
Who we currently read, and who we do not
Read directly, because their terms permit it

Not read by us, and not followed automatically either
We do not fetch these hosts, and we have no automated way to read their published pages, so nothing here is monitored on a schedule. Their terms are checked by hand.

The same standard, both ways
We hold our own site to the rule we follow on yours. Our acceptable-use terms do not forbid automated reading of our public pages — they ask for the same three things we do here: respect robots.txt, identify yourself honestly, and keep the volume reasonable. A rule we would not accept ourselves is not one we should be relying on.
Asking us to stop
Add a Disallow for the paths you want left alone and we will stop on the next run,
because we re-read robots.txt every time. If you would rather tell us directly, or you think we
have described something about your firm inaccurately, write to
our contact page — we would rather be corrected than be wrong. We take
no affiliate commission from any firm and no firm pays us, so we have nothing to gain from
describing you unfavourably.
